Bought a a gift so not actually opened the packaging properly. The wool does feel nice and soft and is a beautiful red true to the picture. It comes well packed in a strong polythene wrapping. Just hope the recipient likes it.

This shawl is very soft. it's marketed as black, but is really a dark grey/charcoal colour. It's a very light fabric (marked as 100% polyester), and would be very suitable for warmer spring/autumn weather or summer evenings, but not so much to keep out the cold. Personally, I'd prefer it without the loop at the front to close it, as it doesn't create a very flattering line, and would prefer to just wear it loose or close it with a pin, but that leaves the loop visible on one side. I suppose I could remove the label and wear it inside out, as the fabric is the same both sides and the loop is the only thing to distinguish the "right" side. The wrap isn't hemmed, just overlocked around the edges with a short white fringe around the bottom, so it doesn't look the best quality, and I do worry that the "V" at the back of the neck might not last indefinitely, as there's quite a bit of stress on it without some reinforcement. Given the light, synthetic fabric, the very simple, unstructured design and the lack of finish on the edges, the price seems quite high.
