I’ve tried a different Halloween cloak before and was disappointed with the cheap nylon see through fabric. I do need one for this Halloween and thought I’d have another try with this one and am glad I did. This fabric is still thin and nylon, but the additional (slight) thickness that the shiny aspects adds makes a difference. It’s not glittery though - its a shiny / shimmer as part of the fabric almost like an ironed on transfer, not glitter or sequins on the surface. I’ve included a close up picture. The shape of the whole cloak is an oblong pleated at the neck edge and fastened to the hood, there is no real shoulder shaping and if you’re a large person it’s not going to go all the way around you. If you’re just letting it dangle from your shoulders though, rather than wrapping it around yourself, you’ll be fine. The hood on the one I recieved is a good shape thankfully and goes over my hair. I’m glad that this one is one I can use, I like the way the fabric shimmers, it adds a new dimension to a basic fancy dress cloak.

This cape is great for a costume party, or world book day for a Harry Potter outfit, however it is not made of a very thick material so make sure that you are careful so as not rip it. I will be wearing it again though and it was cheap.

La cape est jolie avec son aspect brillant noir et bleuté (voir ma photo), sa longueur de 150cm est très longue (enfin tout dépend de votre taille), le tissu est agréable au toucher, mais il est très fin et transparent, d’une grande légèreté, un mélange 90% Polyester et 10% Spandex, il faudra donc, si besoin, la laver à la main pour sa fragilité. Sa capuche est assez large, mais je trouve qu’elle manque de volume et de tenue pour pouvoir se positionner comme il faut, un ruban permet de nouer la cape autour du cou. Un bon produit, parfait pour les tenues d’Halloween, ce n’est pas d’une grande qualité mais amplement satisfaisant pour un déguisement qui ne servira que très rarement, côté prix (18,99 euros), ça parait un peu cher !
